Page 1: One places a hand on Three's shoulder, sweating profusely. "Do you mean...?" One asks. "Yeah," Three says. Five looks at One in concern. "One, how much farther do we have?" he asks. One gazes out at the system in front of them.
Page 2: One holds himself. "Too much farther. He'll die before we can get past the last bars," he says. In response, Five looks around at the other children. "We need to go back. We can't just let him die in some dingy vent," Five says.
Page 3: The children begin exiting the vent system. Three is tossed out into Five's arms while Four catches One, who comes out last. After everyone has gotten back into the room, Five lays Three out on the ground.
Page 4: "So am I really gonna die?" Three asks, hands on his chest. "Two of us will join you soon," Four says with a patient look to her, all while Five keeps to himself in the background. "And the drug won't be able to do those awful things to you anymore," One adds on, eyes shaky with a forced smile.
Page 5: One looks over Three, balancing himself by keeping an arm at Three's side. "You'd probably be in a lot of pain if you stayed awake," One says. "I guess that's true," Three says weakly as One places a hand on his cheek. Five pipes in nervously. "How are you feeling?" he asks.
Page 6: "I'm... tired," Three says with an empty expression. "Are you ready to go to sleep?" One asks, looking down on him. The boy bites his finger as Three gives his answer. "Yeah," he says, voice light in the large room. The panel is black. "Goodnight, Three," the other children say. "Goodnight, everyone," Three replies.
Page 7: Three looks up from the ground, eyes lifeless, before finally closing them.
Page 8: There is nothing on the page besides black. Someone unknown speaks. "Oh."
