Page 1: Morning lights shine into the room of a young boy. He can be seen stretching and yawning as he wakes up from underneath his orange blanket. The boy has black and white hair with yellow eyes and pale skin. He is wearing soft yellow pajamas as well. At the bottom of the page, the word 'prologue' is written out.

Page 2: The boy, who remains unnamed, proceeds to get ready for his day. He puts on his school uniform consisting of a gray overshirt and an orange tie before brushing his teeth. Once he is done with his quick routine, he goes downstairs and sits with his family for breakfast. Next to him are his brother and grandmother. His brother has shaggy brown hair and a red jacket, while his grandmother looks exceptionally young with blonde hair wrapped up in a ponytail, piercing blue eyes, and an orange shirt. The young boy and his brother eat eggs and toast together while their grandmother watches them, a small smile on her face. While eating, the young boy thinks, "I love my family. And honestly, I love being alive."

Page 3: The boy continues, "My grandma tells me all about what it was like in the olden days, because she was alive way back in 2020! Hearing about her hardships makes me super grateful for what I have." There are three panels on the page. The first contains a calender reading "May 2020." The second is of the young boy looking down at the third panel with an empty plate, his eyes wide and his smile full. The third contains his grandmother, who seems to be looking up at him through the panel. She's holding a phone in her hand.

Page 4: The boy explains, "Apparently science sucked so much back then. You were dealt a bunch of cards when you were born and you had to stick with them, mostly. There were some surgeries, but they were kind of lame." An image of white, featureless, glowing figures is shown against a black background, varying in heights and each of them surrounded by a flurry of colors. Below, the grandmother and her daughter, who is wearing a gray sweater and has her brown hair done in a loose ponytail, can be seen conversing in front of a window showing blue, purple, and pink hues behind soft clouds. The boy continues, "So my grandma thought one day she was gonna be all old and gross and wrinkly, but now she looks as young as my mom. Ever since people found out about magic, science has become so useful that you can be anyone you wanna be!"

Page 5: The boy can be seen running outside, the vibrant colors of the sky much more vibrant now that they're not hidden behind glass. The sun can be seen just barely rising. Next to his house is a garden of tomatoes and yellow flowers draped over his roof. He can be seen running to another boy named Joseph. Joseph has olive skin, green eyes with slits in the middle, short dark brown hair with a light green hair clip, green dragon-like wings on his back, and the same school uniform as the young boy, alongside a backpack that the young boy can also be seen wearing. The young boy thinks, "My friend Joseph got dragon wings for his birthday. It makes me a bit jealous. Maybe I'll ask for dragon wings on my birthday too. But that'd be copying, so that'd be lame." He can be seen thinking about other possible wings, including pink and yellow butterfly adjacent wings, light blue bird adjacent wings, and brown bat wings.

Page 6: He continues thinking, "Instead I just decided to change the genetic makeup of my hair so that it grows black and white. My grandma says that back in her day, you had to use this thing called hair dye, and it was super inconvenient. So I'm very happy!" In one panel the young boy is seen bringing one of his hands up to his hair. In the next, Joseph and the boy are seen walking together, and it is revealed that Joseph is slightly taller.

Page 7: Joseph and the boy make their way to a store selling the news. Newspapers appear to be metallic tubes that rest in a bin for anyone to grab. Two papers are attached to the bin. One reads "7/1/50." Another reads "Return to bin when done. You are being recorded." As anticipated, a camera hangs from the roof of the store, recording the two boys. In the window overlooking the bin, a shopkeeper with blue hair watches them pick up a tube with a soft smile. There is also a gray door to enter the store, labelled with a piece of paper that reads "Past issues sale - 1.75 a roll." After grabbing a tube, the yellow haired boy opens it to reveal a pink screen listing the news that was activated upon use. Most of the text is unreadable, but the boy focuses in on a portion headed with an image of a man with long hair, glasses, and a lab coat, attached to the title "GigaByte Founder Launches Massive Project - SEEKING VOLUNTEERS."

Page 8: "What's that?" Joseph asks, placing one of his hands on the roll. "Looks like GigaByte is doing some new stuff. But it seems like... politics?" The boy responds with a subdued yet curious expression. "Lemme see!" Joseph yells out, pushing the boy away and taking the roll to read by himself. He begins to read the rest of the article, and appears visibly confused.

Page 9: "Free revival?" Joseph points out, his expression flattening. The boy looks back confused with a "huh?" Joseph continues, looking down at the the news. "And they're trying to figure out how to... control someone's belief system?" he says. The boy imagines a person with black hair, a pink sweater, and blue eyes atop a hypnotizing background. He asks "Can't we already do that with hypnotist people?"

Page 10: "Yeah, seems dumb. But I hope they mean the whole free revival thing," Joseph says. The boy appears quite nervous, putting his hands together and being shown with some sweat on his face. "Now everybody is gonna be climbing to put their kids in there."

Page 11: "My grandma says it's better than nothing at all! Just like how it was in the old days," the boy says, still visibly nervous. Joseph slings one of his arms around the boy. "Come on, do your trust everything your grandma says?" He can be seen sticking out his tongue playfully.

Page 12: A small doodle of Joseph and the unnamed boy is placed on a white background, filling in the second half of the page with no panels. End of episode.
